About Narromine

Narromine Shire lies to the west of Dubbo in central NSW and encompasses the towns and villages of Narromine, Trangie, Tomingley, Gin Gin and Dandaloo.

There is plenty to do in this Shire including a visit to the Caloma Lookout in the Gooband National Park near Tomingley, the Narromine Aviation Museum or spending time at the Trangie Wungunja Cultural Centre. In September the Mungery Picnic Races are held in Narromine.

Narromine offers a range of indoor and outdoor sporting facilities together with grounds and venues for a broad range of sporting events. Some of the sports are basketball, bowls, cricket, fishing, gliding, golf, gymnastics, Little Athletics, netball, rugby league, rugby union, soccer, squash, skateboarding, swimming, tennis and volleyball.

Narromine has a pre-school and there is one public, one Catholic and one Christian primary school in Narromine. There is also a high school and a campus of TAFE Western in Narromine. Trangie has a Catholic primary school and a central (K-12) school. There is a public school in Tomingley
