About Condobolin

Condobolin is the administrative town in a very large shire in the central west of New South Wales. Among the other towns and villages are Lake Cargelligo, Tottenham, Tullibegeal, Burcher and Fifield.  Condoblin has the claim to fame is that it is the geographical centre of NSW, being 500kms west of Sydney,

There are many things to see and do in the region.  Among the events are Slattery’s Auctions Condo 750 an event for all types of motorbikes held in March each year, the Blue Water Arts and Crafts Exhibition in Lake Cargelligo in June and the Tottenham Horse Sports and Gymkhana held in October each year.

There are a wealth of sporting facilities available across the Shire with opportunities for netball, tennis, bowls, golf, football, soccer, hockey etc.  In Lake Cargelligo, a swim in the beautiful lake is a great experience.

Education ranges from pre-school to one public and one Catholic primary school in both Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo. In Condobolin there is a private (K-12) school and there are public high schools in both towns.   In Tottenham and Tullibegeal there are Central Schools (K-12) and Burcher has a primary school. There are campuses of TAFE Western in Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo.

In the health sphere, there are GP practices in  Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo and Tottenham.  Also available are physiotherapy, occupational therapy, audiometry and other allied health services available.  There are hospitals in  Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo and Tottenham and a number of aged care options in the region.
