About Coolamon

Coolamon Shire is located in the Riverina region of NSW. The largest town in the Shire is Coolamon with smaller towns of Ardlethan and Ganmain and the villages of Beckom, Matong and Marrar.

Attractions abound in the Shire with the Coolamon Cheese Factory Riverina Produce Dinner in August, the Coolamon Fore Engine Muster in September and the Capture Coolamon Shire photography exhibition being great events.

Whatever your sporting interest is, it is bound to be covered with the many recreational activities available in the Shire. Everything from AFL, bowls, cricket, fishing, golf, karate, netball, rugby league, swimming, team penning, tennis and touch football is available.

Educational facilities in the Shire include an early childhood centre, a Catholic primary school and a Central (K-12) school in Coolamon. Ganmain has a pre-school and one public and one Catholic primary schools and Ardlethan also has a pre-school and a Central (K-12) school. There are primary schools in Beckom, Marrar and Matong.
