Albury has twelve public, two Catholic and four private primary schools. There are three public, one Catholic and four private high schools. Higher Education has a strong presence with a branch of Charles Sturt University, the Albury campus of Riverina TAFE and the Riverina Institute National Environment Centre.
Albury has an amazing array of health facilities designed to deal with any health situation. The Albury Hospital is a large facility supplying a 24 hour emergency department, surgical, medical and maternity wards, cancer support, mental health and all the facilities one would expect in a major country hospital. There are also numerous private hospitals, day surgery clinics and a Regional Cancer Centre. A wide range of allied health professionals ply their trade in Albury. Among the many disciplines available are audiologists, dieticians, occupational therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists and podiatrists.
